After 12 years of leaving school to found Facebook, the young billionaire will give the graduation speech and get an honorary degree.

Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most cited cases of people who say that it is not necessary to have a glittering university degree from a prestigious school to succeed in life. This is because 12 years ago the young entrepreneur abandoned his preparation at Harvard to found Facebook. However, after becoming one of the youngest billionaires in the world, Zuckerberg will finally be named.

The CEO and co-founder of the world's most powerful social network will deliver the 2017 class graduation speech and take the opportunity to receive an honorary degree.

"Mark Zuckerberg's leadership has profoundly altered the nature of social interactions in the world. Few modern inventions can rival the impact of Facebook on the interaction we have with others across the globe, "the university's website said.

Tips from another dropout

Zuckerberg is not the only giant in Silicon Valley who opted for entrepreneurship rather than college preparation. Apple's legendary Steve Jobs and Microsoft's Bill Gates also followed suit. Precisely the latter also left Harvard to open his company with Paul Allen.

The Facebook CEO turned to the richest man in the world for advice on how to deliver the speech. Gates was the keynote speaker 10 years ago.

In a video posted on Facebook, Gates encourages Zuckerberg to tell him that he will not have to go to school to graduate.
