Building connections online are one of the essential parts of successful entrepreneurship. You can connect with people around the world if you know how to leverage social media. It's a great way to build relationships with similarly minded individuals who have same goal and passion to you.

If you want to grow business networks Facebook group is an excellent place for you. Finding a business list of groups on Facebook was never easy. This applies especially to female entrepreneurs.

Since most Facebook groups are closed, you can not really know which group is right for you and which is bad without committing to join.

How To Be Successful In Groups (The Non-Spammy Way)

Wait a minute! Before getting into the groups themselves, let’s chat a minute about how to use groups and build connections:

DO: Answer the questions the admins ask before you join.

DO NOT: Answer the questions and use the opportunity to critique how the group is run. Seriously. Last week, someone requested to participate in a group I admin and answered the no spam question with a rant about how that’s not the community. Guess who didn’t get in?

DO: Help as many people as you can for free- answer questions, give resources (especially if they aren’t your own) and engage.

DO NOT: Show up to only drop your link (this includes blog posts, discovery call links). And as a group admin myself, do not send private messages to people without their consent.

DO: Answer questions you may not know the answer to. Google it if need be. You would be amazed at how many people don’t. So when you do, you can look like a genius.

DO NOT: Only show up on promo days. Starting out, I was completely guilty of this. You join a lot of groups to be seen and forget to be helpful. Hang out, make friends, you will find success.
