Wouldn't you use Microsoft's Edge browser if you get paid? Bing Rewards is renamed Microsoft Rewards and offers rewards for using Edge and buying from Microsoft stores. But you'll also have to make Bing your default search engine to earn points in your redesigned rewards program.

Six years ago, Microsoft launched the Bing Rewards program, which offered users the ability to earn redeemable credits for products, gift cards, or gifts if they used Microsoft services.

Now, the Microsoft have announced that this program will be renamed Microsoft Rewards (disengaging from the brand "Bing," which also dispensed with a year ago with MSN Apps). The operation of the program will remain mostly the same, although from now on we will be able to win prizes in faster and simpler ways, such as navigating with Microsoft Edge or buying from the Microsoft store registered with our account.

What is Bing Rewards?

Bing rewards or Microsoft Rewards lets users get paid to try new features of Microsoft, using Bing search, on desktop or mobile. Bing rewards credit can be redeemed for gift cards and other Microsoft products. To earn go to credits bing.com/explore/rewards and sign up.

Microsoft has reported that all of our Bing Rewards accounts will be automatically upgraded to Microsoft Rewards over the next few weeks so that we do not have to make any changes on our part. With this update comes a new point system where a Bing credit now corresponds to 10 Microsoft Rewards points. If you want to know more, this is the official page with the FAQ. Microsoft will pay you to use your browser Edge

Nearly three-quarters of Windows 10 users do not use the Edge browser, which comes by default in the new version of Microsoft's operating system. So Microsoft now plans to pay for people to use it.

The Microsoft Rewards program, announced this week, is the new name of Bing Rewards, a program that gave people points for using the Bing search engine. The new curriculum, currently available only in the United States, will give people points for using Edge and Bing, and for shopping at the Microsoft store.

These points can be redeemed for vouchers or credits in places like Amazon, Starbucks, Skype and the free version of ads from Outlook.com.

But there's one condition: you have to use Microsoft's Bing search engine as your search engine.

Microsoft launched Edge in May, arguing that it was a faster search engine, with better battery efficiency and better overall than the competition. However, it currently has a market share of only 5 percent.

Microsoft dominated the browser market with Internet Explorer, Edge's predecessor. In the last decade, however, has seen a significant drop in the number of users due to the arrival of alternatives such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
